Watch your bandwidth. It's just an annoyance, but one heck of an annoyance. Phishing is when scam artist poses as a legitimate business to get your private information, like your PayPal login or credit card information.
The problem is that nearly nothing is done about it. It's a hard crime to prosecute, because the real owners of the website are not always the ones responsible for the phishing. Certainly if you notice unusual bandwidth use on your site, you should report it to us immediately.
However, if you have a minute in your busy day to respond to Phishing schemes, there's a great idea right here in Robert X Cringely's column. His column, The Pulpit, is always a great read and very informative. Sometimes, like this column he has a great idea to share, like sending bogus information to phishing sites.
Enjoy the read.
